Located downtown, this is a good bar for everyone. Fun piano bar and they are famous for making wonderful martinis.
What happened?
Mostly straight now, too bad. Used to be amazing... Rude staff and bartenders. Security seems to be all straight and treat the gays like your in a straight bar. Drinks used to be awsome now they r horrible! Don't go...
Totally out !!! Don't go there
Amsterdam looks more like a straight bar now and it really was crappy compared to like 2007 when i did go there, now these people have an attitude and basically the straight guys will be picking on the gay guys in verbal fights, which never happened before.. A word of advice, Amsterdam, get totally gay again or just go out of business for God's sake.

Drinks too costly. Snooty crowd. Not worth the time....
Still one of my favorites...
I know some people think there is attitude @ A, but personally I think it depends ok what you're looking for. It's not a cruising kind of a place. It's more of a "Go & have a great time with your friends" place. I like the fact that there is goodvcross section of people. Guys, girls & all ages. I'm 39 and enjoy the less cruising bars. If you want good service & a fun atmosphere then this is A is a good place.
