Nice bar, strange layout.
This place has changed since it added Club Miami. The layout of the new club Miami doesn't work. It feels awkward. Crowd has developed more attitude-not sure why. The patio though is the best thing. Love the patio area.
Nothing to do there
The bar is very hard to find, get to and to park. There is nothing going on, the music sucks and the people are anything but friendly. Could not tell if it was stright or gay. Not worth the bother.
To Much Attitude
While the bar is beautiful, there is way to much attitude (Queens with attitude). I observed a situation where the bar tender signed someone's credit card and then through the card away, just before closing. When the customer asked for his card back, they told him that he had already signed for the tab and they had already given him his card back. (The signature did not match the customer signature). When he complained, they through him out of the bar. This is not the way you want to treat your customers.
Reality Check
I agree with reviewer about the staright bar feel. Yes the bar is a wonderful set up, very modern. However, there is something about the new dance floor set up that just does not work. I also attempted to request a song from the DJ and was told they don't accept requests. WHAT?? Without us as patrons these DJ's would not have a job. This to me is rididculous, also they are not great DJ's like New York or Miami...reality check hello this is downtown Phoenix! Also the last time I was there the place reaked of eggs, not sure what that was about but boy did it clear the place. I think this place has bad pipes. The place is usually swarming lately with overweight straight girls hanging on to their twinkee no eyebrowed gay friends. Leave you pocketbooks at home ladies!!
STRAIGHT BAR FEEL
This bar is a claen and modern well designed place not typically found here in Phoenix. The bad news: DJ plays suck ass music and will never take a request----if you dont take requests fine but dont play music thats so 1990'a and anthem like! The floor clears constantly as the mixes suck and usually Fat boyfriendless straight girls abound pocketbooks and all to crowd you out and bruise your elbows every 10 seconds. Just a crowded stand around stare at everyone else waiting for something to happen bar for me. My suggestion Drop the attitudes and play some music that is current or at least play sirius/xm or something am radio would be better than these guys.
