Amsterdam (Closed Permanently)

Awesome atmosphere!

Well every time I go to Amsterdam, I have a great time. The vibe is always great on Friday nights. I completely look forward to going! The drink prices are reasonable as well. :]

Beautiful, Big, popular

It seems like the crowd gets there a little later (midnightish). It is a beautiful place. There are a lot of 20-30 somethings. It has two large indoor rooms. One is a cozy greek revival type room with a grand piano, statues, and cozy couches. The second room is concrete bright and has a Miami Beach feel. There are two outdoor areas. The large back patio area gives you pleanty of tables to find a nook and just hang out with your friends. The front patio lets you people watch as clubbers walk by to all the spots down town. Overall, it's a nice place.

Great decor, but expensive

This is by far the largest and best decorated gay bar in the city of Phoenix. Tons of patio space if you prefer to be outside, comfy leather sofas on the inside. Unfortunately you can expect to pay for the fancy decor with higher drink prices. The only night of the week that I've really found Amsterdam to be enjoyable with a good crowd is on Friday nights. Although I have read many complaints about the staff here, I have never had any problems that I can recall.

HABITABLE FOR DINKS WHO PAY 2 MUCH 4 DRINKS

INITIALLY LIKED IT AS IT WAS A SHORT WALK FROM 307, WHICH I HAD A FONDNESS FOR 'CAUSE ITS SEEMY CLIENTELE AND BATHROOM DOORS THAT DIDN'T LOCK. AM'S HAD PLEASANT TARBENDERS, BUT CLIENT WAS OBVIOUSLY SNOBBISH WITHOUT JUST CAUSE, 'CAUSE THEY COULDN'T COORDINATE CLOTHING, GROOMING, PLASTIC SURGEON SPECIMENS WHO WREAKED FROM AVON QUANTITY SIZE COLOGNE. HATE TO SEE IF THEY WORE UNDIES, AND IF SO, WHICH ALLEY THEY STOLE THEM FROM AND THE SUPPOSSED GREENISH, BROWN SKID MARKS TIRES AREN'T KNOWN FOR LEAVING BURNOUTS. FINE LOUNGE IN THE WRONG PART OF TOWN. LOCATION MORE SUITABLE FOR A A CIRCLE JERK!

from what I understand its been there for a long time. I guess if you just want to go for drink and meet with friend. or watch a little drag show its not so bad. it can get busy at times. have not being there lately though...
