Piano bar with a wide variety of music and great martinis

Fantastic

I went to this club solo and found everyone to be really friendly. The atmosphere was great and I couldn't believe how cheap the drinks were! Plenty of eye candy, great music and friendly staff. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Phoenix!

Eye Candy

I'm sorry to hear of uniquekme's experience. The dance floor is just to the south of the main entrance. And it must have been an unusual night - I always see many gorgeous black guys (and gals) here. The Amsterdam is usually just a stop on a night out, but there are lots of good things to see. The expanded patio area allows a break from the sometimes crowded indoor space, and to enjoy the great evening weather in Phoenix. The dance floor is weird for me - but it is usually full of yummy bodies. I always have a fun visit!

so close but so far...

I live close to amsterdam bar. Man I want to love this bar but every time I go in, the bartenders are so far from understanding that my friends and I are who bring in the money, it's customers are it's revenue maker. Why are you snooty and bitchy? At least I should thank you for helping my friends narrow our decision on where snd where not to drink on the weekend.

Odd Experience

Yeah it's a gay bar, but a lot of attitude. The night I was there there was a DJ named Vince or Vic Urban. This guy was really strange he thought he was 20, looked 40 and was prolly in his 30s. Drinks were average at best, but it did have a selection of twinks, unfortunately they were too busy showing off for each other to notice anyone else. It's not on my list again right away.

Nice place

I love to go to Amsterdam on Friday nights. The bartenders are extremely nice, and cute and the atmosphere is friendly. Every time I have gone there I have met new people and made new friends!
