Royally Rude

Drove an hour to checkout this hotel and were refused entry at the front gate. We asked for a tour of the facility and the rooms and were told, presumably by the owner, that "there are naked people inside and that this is not Disneyland. If you want to see the facility, go to the web site." We've stayed at other clothing optional hotels and were never treated so rudely. Certainly, this one is off our list.

Management response to ptown09

Hey guys! We are responding to ptown's review. First of all, the Villa is kept very clean. 75% of our business are repeat clients. Our A/C's work just fine, even when it is 115 degrees. By the way reviewer, Phoenix does not have flys, especially in AUGUST !!DUH!! This review is totally fabricated, or these people were here and were kicked out for having no boundaries and behaving as such. Sorry to sound so negative, but I do have to stick up for the place. We will be celebrating 18 years of ownership this November!!! Thank you for reading this.

Rude Villa

Stayed here awhile ago and was quite disappointed with the management. I believe it is a family owned establishment because both the father and his son were schooled in identical fashion. Yes, it is old, and yes it does resemble a gay version the Bates Motel, but the entire trip went sour for both my partner and I upon checking in. The rooms are old, and that.s fine, but the air conditioning was in need of repair. The studio styled rooms include a kitchenette, but since the rooms aren't cleaned daily, trash and flies buzz around free of charge. The guests were friendly and the pool a delight. But we say, if you're not into customer service, maybe it's time to retire.

Great place to stay

Stayed here for a week and got upgraded to a larger room with a discount! Converted apartment complex with ready parking. Large, clean rooms with kitchenette. Fantastic pool and jacuzzi. Doug and Kenny are very friendly and gave lots of good tips on local hang-outs. Although it was a quiet week (probably too cold by Phoenix standards - only 80-90F!!), it was nice to have the place to myself and go midnight skinny dipping in the warm pool. The locals come on day passes and were fun to chat to. I really enjoyed my time here.
