The Clarendon Hotel and Spa by GreenTree

(18 Ratings)
Hip boutique hotel
The Clarendon not only boasts a hip mixed gay/straight crowd, but is also known for hosting many rockstars who stay a few nights while passing through Arizona. The outdoor pool with underwater speakers and 50-person hot-tub is only the tip of the ice-berg here. Join in on the complementary wine tasting or check out the Mexican restaurant for the full experience.

O.K.

Stayed here 12/24-12/26, for the first time. My partner (of 10 years) wanted a nice chic hotel, but no such luck. Its ok, my impressions on the internet site is there is an indoor pool, no such luck, nice hot-tub though. International calls could not get out, and the water went out the last morning, no shower. they did not charge us for our pet, but whats $50 for a shower, i would have paid it just to be clean for our drive to lake havasu city. now we know. will stay somwhere else next year.

Discrimination of those in wheelchairs/scooters?

Before the big remodel, I enjoyed the restaurant - nice atmosphere, good Mexican fare. Bartender was delightful; so were most patrons. Employee told me that elevator does not go to rooftop bar. Patrons must walk a flight up. What about folks in wheelchairs/scooters? Say it ain't so, Clarendon! If so, I say "skip it". Call ADA.

Great place to stay

Very friendly staff that will try to accomdate. Nice sunset view from the roof top. Cute swimming pool. Great inexpensive resturant on site. Extra points for carrying Aveda products in the rooms

Best place to stay downtown, hands down

Very classy hotel, gay-run but straight-friendly. :) Great bar, good restaurant (a little slow, but first-class food), bar gets pretty lively on weekend nights, mixed crowd. Place is very clean, very upscale, and prices are reasonable. Wouldn't stay anywhere else downtown.
