This is a very comfortable gay bar for all ages. The people are very friendly and it is a great atmosphere.
I visited the valley from 04/07/07 through 04/12/07 and made 4 stops to Friends. The bar was immaculately clean and professionally staffed. The "shining star" of Friends was staffer, Ray B., who truly made me feel so at home! In my 30+ years of gay bar socializing, I have never eaten such superior food. Hats off to the cooking staff here. I partook in Friends Easter Sunday Brunch, which was scrumptuous! It was Greek in its theme and was mouth-watering! As for its cocktails, Friends bartender, Ray B. mixes top notch Bloody Marys, which were potent and good and could not be beat! I most certainly recommend Friends as a valley gay bar not to be missed!! Wishing Ray B. and other staffers at Friends a thriving long life! See you all when I make a return visit to the valley from 06/30/07 through 07/07/07!
Great clean bar, friendly help, nice customers, good food. What more can you ask.
Clean and nice appearing stocked bar; great noon lunches and after 4PM snacks; good management and caring and capable staff (will send you home in a taxicab when necessary); a nice place for professional, semi-professonal and blue collar workers to hang out, shoot pool, throw darts and visit over a drink. If I have to make a choice, my favorite bartender is Tom.
If you like a goodlooking, non twink, friendly adult crowd, this is the place. Good drinks, good service, good music (classic disco at Friday happy hour). The space is clean and well maintained...it's a cut above the rest of the bars in Phoenix.
