World Bazaar & Phoenix Community Market

 

Come celebrate the rich culture of the Phoenix area in the Fall 2016 World Bazaar & Phoenix Community Market, presented by Local First Arizona, International Rescue Committee in Phoenix, Valley Metro, and City of Phoenix, AZ Government!

Enjoy food, fun, and shopping with vendors from around the world. Free to attend! Take the light rail and show your pass for special prizes!

Vendors and items available include African beadwork, dresses, scarves, jewelry, baskets, and gifts; Middle Eastern women’s fashion and jewelry; craft goods made by refugee women; and more. A “KidsZone” will feature face painting, hair braiding, and other fun activities. Attendees will also be able to sample a diverse array of foods and beverages like Ethiopian coffee, Iraqi bread, Middle Eastern candy, and baklava, and can pick up locally grown foods at the farmer's market area.

This is a free event. Thanks to the support from Salt River Project, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), Vitalyst Health Foundation AZ, and Mountain Park Health Center for helping to put on this multicultural event!

Vendedores y artículos disponibles incluyen abalorios africanos, vestidos, bufandas, joyería, canastas, y regalos; modas y joyas del Medio Oriente; productos de artesanía hechos por mujeres refugiadas, y mucho más. Un “KidsZone” (área para niños) contará con pintados de la cara, trenzado de cabello, y otras actividades divertidas. Invitados también podrán probar comidas y bebidas diversas como café etíope, pan iraquí, dulces del Medio Oriente, y baklava, y navegar el área de mercado para recoger productos agrícolas cosechados localmente.
