THE Best!

I have enjoyed Barrio Cafe since it first popped up in the most unlikely of places. As a self-described Foodie, I like nothing more than trying new restaurants, cuisines, and atmospheres; and Mexican is one of my favorites. In Arizona we are lucky to have a plethora of, (Mexican), restaurants from which to choose ~ however, regardless where I eat, I always find myself comparing the meals to Barrio Cafe. Without question this small-ish venue offers the freshest, most original meals I have ever enjoyed, and it is a MUST when visitors hit town and want the Best of the Best. Chef Silvana is a local treasure and I cannot think of a more deserving restaurant than Barrio Cafe to represent Phoenix' diverse culinary ethnicities. For me, it is my absolute favorite for First Dates because, besides the food, the atmosphere is friendly and the drinks are stealthy! Whatever you select, ensure you order the Guacamole with your meal, and coffee after. Both will be prepared table-side, and I guarantee you will leave Full, Fat, and Festive! One last thing, reservations aren't accepted and parking is at a premium. Plan ahead so you won't be disappointed. Absolutely 5 STARS.

Best mexican I have had!

My partner and I took my Mom for Mother's Day. Mom and I had the Pollo Pablano, my partner (George) had the pork that is cooked for 12 hours. We all loved what we had. George n I will eat here everytime we come to Phoenix!

Comida Chingado!

As the title states, incredible food! Do not miss this gem in Phoenix. Great margaritas, revolving art... Then there's the food... Unbelievable Mole! Just like the movie, Chef Susana's sauces are "Like water for chocolate".
