Rainha e Rei do Samba USA 2016, honoring Brazilian culture is a great way to celebrate culture! This is an annual tradition in Phoenix celebrating our world’s diverse musical cultures and fostering global understanding. We hope that you would like to become a part of this tradition too.
At this event you will see multiple dance showcases as well as dozens of dancers competing for the National Title. Grupo LIberdade will be there with the sounds, DJ Potira (Los Angeles) will be spinning her eclectic Brazilian tunes and world renowned samba dancers Ana Laidley (Los Angeles), Patrick Carvalho da Silva (Rio de Janeiro), Vanessa Nascimento (Rio de Janeiro), Shaunte Jackson (Oakland), Mishel Finlayson (Brisbane), and Tania Santiago (Oakland) will be teaching, judging and performing!!

International Samba instructor, performer and Muse of Rio Carnival Mishel Jemma Finlayson (Sambaliscious Australia/Rio) will take you through key techniques to get comp ready!
