Rainbow Carnage Celebrating the Cult Phenomenon Hedwig and the Angry Inch!!! A decade ago, plucky theater company, Artists Theatre Project, produced their first show…The Cult Sensation Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The founders had taken a road trip, in drag, to Sin City to see a local production of Hedwig. They instantly fell in love with the show and its endearing message of love and wholeness. They left Las Vegas committed to produce the show in Arizona and began one of the wildest rides of their lives. They played to Sold Out Houses at Tinseltown Tavern in Scottsdale, AZ which then lead to playing The Hotel Congress in Tucson. On the first night of the show Hedwig was dragged from the stage by police and arrested for assault and battery (the charges were later dropped, but it gave them a Great Story!). They even had the honor of performing with one of the show’s creators, John Cameron Mitchell, for a show benefitting The Loft Cinema in Tucson. Now, a decade later, Pandora DeStrange and a bunch of the Original Cast Members that Scandalized the Southwest decided to get back together for a Limited Run to Celebrate the Music that Changed Their Lives.
