2nd Annual Harvey Milk Day Celebration

"All men are created equal. No matter how hard you try, you can never erase those words." Harvey Milk Join us as we pay homage to Harvey Milk and his contribution to the LGBT movement for Full Equality. Harvey Milk became the first openly gay man elected to any substantial political office in the history of the planet, and even though his life and political career were cut short he became and has become a focus for the LGBT Community. Harvey allowed us to hope that we could be more, that we could be Out and Proud, that we could live in a world without hatred and bigotry, and that we could achieve Equal treatment under the law. We will be walking from the State Capitol, Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza to Cesar Chavez Memorial Plaza in honor of Harvey Milk, and recreate the spontaneous march and candlelight vigil the day the LGBT Community lost Harvey Milk.
